OVEN & STOVE ISSUES

DOESN’T TURN ON

For an electric stove doesn’t turn on, check if the appliance is plugged in and all circuit breakers are on. You should check the pilot light on gas models. If the appliance power cord is plugged in or if the pilot light is lit, that means some other part will have to be replaced. The reason for the issue could be the infinite switch, surface element, oven burner igniter or broil and bake element.

BURNER WON’T HEAT

A burner or stove or oven that does not heat will not do much. Your oven won’t heat when there’s a broken oven sensor or bake element. A burner doesn’t turn on if an element is broken or if the burner switch or terminal block don’t work. We are able to troubleshoot and repair these common issues in under 1-2 hours after we arrive.

PROGRAM ISSUES

It is reasonable to assume the control panel on a stove or oven is broken when the timer or program functions are not working. In this case, we know how to fix control boards on GE, LG, Sears, KitchenAid, Kenmore and several other brands and models of ranges, stoves and ovens. We provide a warranty on control panels and the manufacturer parts we install for this type of stove repair service.

OVEN IS VERY HOT

You always should have a hot oven. Although not too hot! If the oven heat is extremely hot, it could be due to a broken thermostat or sensor. Our appliance technicians are able to find the reason for the problem and repair it. Always be careful if troubleshooting this issue for fear of burns from the high and totally unpredictable heat source.

IGNITER DOESN’T LIGHT

A reoccurring stove issue is when an igniter will glow but does not light. The cause is from either a broken electronic control, surface igniter, safety valve or temperature sensor. We are able to determine if we can repair these appliance parts or if we have to replace the parts.

DOOR WILL NOT OPEN

Newer self-cleaning models of ovens are known to experience door issues often. The door won’t open after the oven cleans itself. We inspect the door closure, thermostat and seal to troubleshoot why the door won’t open up and then we complete the repair so we can correct the problem.
