WASHING MACHINE PROBLEMS

LOUD SOUNDS

A common type of washing machine repair is for loud noises coming from the washer. Repairmen is able to diagnose the source of the strange sound and decide if we need to repair or replace the broken parts in the washing machine. The cause of the noise is typically due to a worn-down pump motor or worn belt or bearings.

DOES NOT TURN ON

When your washer won’t agitate, first take a look to see if it’s unplugged or if a circuit breaker is flipped off. The issue could also be from a broken door latch, thermal fuse or timer. A washer that doesn’t turn on means the agitator cogs, drive belt, coupler or the transmission need immediate repair or need replacement.

DOES NOT SPIN

A washer that won’t spin means there’s something wrong with the door latch, wax motor or motor coupling. We will repair these problems right away and have your washer spinning again very soon!

OVERFLOWS

The typical causes for a washer overflowing is the water inlet valve, water level pressure switch or the air dome tube on the washing machine.

WATER TEMPERATURE ISSUES

A broken temperature control switch or inlet hose is often the reason a washing machine doesn’t produce cold or hot water.

DRYER PROBLEMS

LOUD SOUNDS

The most common dryer problem is strange sounds coming from the machine. Broken seals, bearings or worn belts often lead to strange sounds from clothes dryers.

DOES NOT HEAT

A dryer that won’t produce enough heat to dry laundry isn’t very helpful. The cause of the problem is likely a broken high-limit thermostat, heating element or cycling thermostat. These exact same parts sometimes cause a dryer to be too hot too. Our repairman will troubleshoot the appliance to determine the issue and solution.

WILL NOT TURN ON OR TUMBLE

When your dryer will not turn on, you first will want to be positive the dryer is plugged in and that every one of the circuit breakers are flipped on. If the machine is plugged in and still will not turn on or tumble, the high-limit thermostat, heating element or cycling thermostat will need to be repaired or replaced.

WON’T SHUT OFF

The opposite problem is if the dryer won’t shut off. The reason for this particular issue is usually either a broken door switch or timer.

TIMER WILL NOT ADVANCE

A dryer timer is required to advance in order to complete the cycle. When the timer will not advance, it might mean there is a broken cycling thermostat or timer motor.
